so this weekend went bery well for me for the most part. on saturday i did a lot of work but it payed off when my dad rewarded me with an iphone, i was so happy to get it because i never thought i would ever get one. Also i had a really great time hanging out with some friends and just chillin. However, with the book in class, i really like it a lot. I almost like it as much as TKAMB but i wont be able to judge that until the end. I just like how crazy of a story it is and how lucky richard is to be able to go to new york whenever he wants none the less land a job just by standing around playing a drum roll.

Well i have nothing else to write about to i think i will just make this post about my spring break. Actually it went pretty well, this was the second time i went somewhere out of the United States for spring break and it provided a much needed break from school and ohio in general. my dad and i went to puerto rico while my sister and mother went to las vegas. personally i would have rather gone to puerto rico than las vegas but thats just me. i am also pretty excited to start reading cesar because i have heard a lot of good things about it and i really like the work of shakspeare that i have already read. well thats all i can think to write about to i guess i will just wait until next sunday to do this all over again.

Nobody is Safe from Themselves
Dear Reader,
In the following post I will inform you about my book, Busted, and the ever present theme that surrounds the multiple stories within the novel. The main theme in this book would be that there are consequences for any action and every person that commits an action. This theme is relevant in every story dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, gambling and bullying. The stories stress the idea that no matter who are where you are, you are never safe from the consequences for your actions. This theme will be present in the following blog that will relate to the novel that a have recently read.
Graeme Gill
“Any action, good or bad, is companied by and equal consequence”
- Arthur Conan Doyle
Dear Mom,
It is defiantly taking me some time to adjust to this place to say the least. It is hard to believe that just after I graduated high school I have ended up here instead of being in college with all of my friends. I am still in shock and ashamed of that faithful night after prom and I cannot believe what really happened did. I don’t think that anybody really expected what my friends and I were up to that night and obviously I wasn’t really aware of the severity of my actions. I guess that I should’ve known what a mistake I was making, seeing that I was a perfect 4.0 student and an active member of the national honor society. I just didn’t realize that I would be tried as an adult at the age of eighteen and that the punishment was much worse than any of my friends (who were minors) would receive. Every time I think about it I feel sick to my stomach knowing that I have thrown my whole life away, really, who would ever hire or accept an ex convict? Besides everybody is going to look at me just like they look at the murderers in here, not the high school senior who made a terrible mistake. I don’t think I will ever be able to except what I did and move on, how did I know that we would get busted for the drugs? I didn’t think that it would happen to me or any of my friends, maybe some of the obvious pot heads at the school but never us. I always thought that what we were doing was just fun and memories of our final major high school experience, not a six year jail sentence on drug possession and distribution. I guess it just goes to show, nobody is ever safe from getting caught and anybody can pay harsh consequences for there actions.
Your Son,
Drew

“Every choice carries a consequence. For better or worse, each choice is the unavoidable consequence of its predecessor. There are not exceptions. If you can accept that a bad choice carries the seed of its own punishment, why not accept the fact that a good choice yields desirable fruit?”

Relfection
Within this project I chose to due the different genres relating to my main theme for multiple reasons. One reason was because these genres were very relatable to my theme. For example, the police report and letter from prison represented the consequences that I teen faced for his actions as did many of the characters within the book. These different genres reflected how my theme worked in different and seemingly all situations outside of the book and represented how relatable the theme of the book is.

Short Story
As a borded the bus on the way home from an extrodinaraly long week of school, I comtemplated on what this afternoon would have in store for me. Seeing that my favorite television show, Ames P.I., had just finished its final episode, i decided I would take up a new hobby. What exactly it would be i was unsure of, yet, I knew that my neighborhood would help me discover something rather qucikly. My neighborhood had manu unique characters as it's inhabitants including several who lived very close to me. There was Ms. Sasafrass to the right of our house and across the street was the home of Mr. Phung. to our left was Doug, who was also my best friend. While living there i noticed many odd things about the neighborhood, however, none of which were as odd as Miss. Sasafrass. Apart from her disgusting excuse of a home, Miss Sasafrass was definatly the craziest women i had ever encountered in my young life. Whenever i saw her everything seemed to turn dark and gray. Her hair stood straight up, she had two different colored eyes and possesed everything that would suggest a lack of proper bathing. While pondering about my insane neighbor i neglected to realize that the bus was at my stop.
Walking down the drive way I noticed a bright flyer printed to my front door, it read:
"Dear Neighbors, please join my family and i in a wonderful korean syle barbecue featuring a special dish you'll be sure to love, come at anytime during the day tomorrow in casual dress, you will not be disapointed"
-Mr. Phung
I brough the invation with me as i went inside. My mother greeted me imidiatley with teary eyes. She told me that my trusted dog, Spike had not been seen all day and she feared the worst. I qucikly threw off my bookbag, gave the invatation to my mother and ran to the backyard to begin my search for the trusted mut. I called and called for what seemed like hours, with no response. Just as i was preparing to call off the search i was stuck with an essential idea, what would my idol, detective ames, do? Once fully prepared for a full fleged investigation, i prepared for what i thought could be an extensice search.
My search started with the one and only Miss Sasafrass. As i wakled to her house, Mr. Phung called to me from across the street, "its a shame about your dog son, good luck with the search". With these encouragin words in mind I proceded with the investagation. I remebered how Sasafrass had expressed her hatred for my dogs and all dogs in general, making her a prime suspect in the investigation. I started first with her trash cans, sifting through i made a shocking discovery, spikes collar. I immediatly ran home and presented my discovery to my mother who was just as convinced we had found our culprit. We rushed to Sasafrass' house together but she was nowhere to be found. It was getting late so my mother assured me that we would confont her tomorrow at Phungs barbecue.
The next morning i awoke feeling sick about the thought of what Sasafrass had done with my dog. I could not wait for the opportunity to confront her and find out what that sick women had done with him. I got ready and my mother and I made our way to the phung residence. When we reached the backyard, we were greeted by many of our neighbors, however, Sasafrass was nowhere to be found once again. How convient I thought to myself, whgen suddenly Mr. Phung broke from the house and presented the Barbecues main dish. As everyone crowded around anxious to see what it was Phung unvailed the dish, a roast of my beloved spike!

This week in english was pretty nuts. we did a lot of writing on that test and my hand was not feelin hot afterwars. but its fine because i got to laugh at everybody who was to slow to finish because they were talking so much after the text was handed out. All in all the test was pretty easy and i am sure that it will prepare us for the OGT that we have coming up.

So this week in english was pretty fun even though im not a huge of fan of fantasy. i just cant really get into a book if i know its impossible for it to be true, i like knowing that this tory im reading, even if it is fiction, could actullay happen to i could compare it to things in reality instead of a bunch of crap about flying brooms and magic. Also i didnt really understant the second story we read this week(which i did read). I was just sick of hearing about all of the big castles and giant monsters that you hear about in a world of warcraft game or something.

Its my first blog of the semester and i need these points more than i ever have. On the grammar quiz a got a 15 ouot of 36 and it ruined my grade. I really think that the quiz was unessecary and unreasonably scored but i guess its not up to me. I dont think very many people at all got a good grade on it and mr potter should definatly rethink about how much he officially counts it for because it affectly the class as a whole pretty bad.

Time for the blog again. I really enjoy what we are doing in class right now, mystery/suspense has always been one of my favorite parts of english class in school and i am really happy that we are doing it and have been for what seems like a long time. The stories we have read have been interesting for the most part even though i have heard some of them before. Suspense is by far one of the greatest generes in literature and i hope we continue in this unit this week!
